IN reply to letter 'Second Class' dated Thursday, March 6, from Mrs O Hough, Brookside Close, Atherton.
Being from Kearsley myself, our First Class mail no longer exists. I have made many calls to both Post Watch and the service itself. Their new aim is to get the mail to your door before noon with just one delivery per day and if you are very lucky you may just get it before 12.00. For myself it's doubtful.
Lots of mail comes three days late. But, like anything else, our post, rail, roads, police, health and justice systems are just crumbling. Job titles of managers and directors are all very good, but in my day they had to prove themselves. Today they seem to run a company into liquidation and the directors come out fat cats, and who pays the price? Guess -- the customers.
