WANDERERS were today playing down an alleged training ground bust-up between Bernard Mendy and Bulent Akin.
The incident is supposed to have taken place at the club's Euxton headquarters in the build up to the game with Sunderland.
According to a Sunday newspaper report strong tackles and words were exchanged on the pitch and then continued in the dining area and dressing room. The two proceeded to exchange blows in front of stunned team-mates and coaching staff.
They apparently only stopped their scuffle when they were too tired to carry on, and fortunately neither was injured.
A club spokesman said: "We have nothing to say on the matter."
Colin Hendry's future with the club will be decided when his loan spell at Blackpool concludes tomorrow night.
The Seasiders want to keep him at Bloomfield Road, with boss Steve McMahon saying: "I want Colin to stay - but it all depends on sorting something out with Bolton."
