CHILDREN have had fun at the fairground -- without leaving their classroom.
More than 20 youngsters at St Columba's RC Primary School, Tonge Moor, spent a day making carousels as part of a design and technology project with Bolton and Bury Education Business Partnership.
Assistant headteacher Karen Orrell said: "The children really loved making the carousels. They were totally engrossed in the work."
The children designed their own carousels and their challenge was to make their finished work look as much as possible like the one they drew on paper.
