SAMPLES of anthrax vaccine have been found to contain a banned substance which could threaten British troops' health, a television documentary claims.
A Manchester laboratory analysed Ministry of Defence tablets and found squalene, an agent which can damage nerves, cardiac tissue or skin.
The claims are made in ITV1's Tonight With Trevor McDonald programme. An MOD statement said the levels of squalene reported were below those naturally occurring in human blood.
