SIR,- What a grand lot are the people of Bolton. I went to Burnden Park on Sunday for my quote of semi-final tickets, at 9.30, and received my tickets at 11.30. During the whole time I never saw or heard a squabble or harsh word.
I must say I really enjoyed my two hours' wait among a jolly lot of people, mostly men.
The jokes started flying when the first lot of men walked up Croft-lane with their much cherished tickets, and the expression on one boy's face when a man offered him 1s 6d (7p) for his ticket!
Here's hoping I queue for a Final ticket. Yours, Housewife.
