TV PRESENTER Tony Wilson was dropped from Granada's main news bulletin after a foul-mouthed outburst live on air.
The ex-Factory Records boss apologised to viewers after he was heard swearing at production staff when he thought he was "off air" in an afternoon bulletin.
Wilson was portrayed by Steve Coogan in 24 Hour Party People, a film about his vital role in Manchester's music scene.
