POLICE in Tameside are appealing for witnesses after an elderly pedestrian died following a collision with a car in Mossley.
A 87-year-old man attempted to cross the A635 Manchester Road at about 4.15pm on Thursday and collided with a Range Rover driven by a 43 year old woman from Stalybridge.
The pensioner was taken to Tameside General Hospital where he died from his injuries.
