AN ANGRY barmaid has slammed traffic wardens for giving her a parking ticket -- because her car bumper was over double yellow lines.
Janet Martin, a barmaid at the Hen and Chickens pub, on Deansgate, Bolton, was furious when she returned to her car behind the pub to find a ticket on the windscreen.
She has to pay £30 or double if she delays paying for two weeks. The ticket was issued by private company Apcoa.
Janet said: "It's ridiculous. My wheels weren't even on the lines."
Pub licensee, Anthony Coyne, said: "There is no common sense being shown."
A Bolton Council spokesman, which handed the contract to Apcoa, said: "We have photographs taken by the warden at the time and this clearly shows this vehicle was contravening traffic regulation orders. However, if the driver disagrees, they have a right to challenge this through the independent adjudication process."
