A FUND-RAISING party for women who are victims of domestic violence took place at the Reebok Stadium yesterday.
More than 300 people raised around £8,000 for Fort Alice, the refuge for women in danger.
They packed into the Lion of Vienna Suite at the stadium for dinner and a disco.
Entertainment was provided by singer Glenn Antony, the Cotton Town Chorus and the band, Brassed Off.
Master of ceremonies was Eddie Barnard. Organiser Sue Shepherd said: "It was a fantastic night and everyone really enjoyed themselves."
