A WOMAN accused of attempting to defraud Bolton Council by making a fake personal injury claim has made a further court appearance.
Lois Foster, aged 41, of Park Avenue, Sharples, is accused of attempting to obtain several hundreds of pounds by deception.
It is alleged that she tried to claim compensation for a broken arm sustained in a street scuffle by making out that the injury was caused by tripping over a grid.
Foster has pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The case was adjourned at Bolton Magistrates Court yesterday for a further hearing to be held on Tuesday, April 22.
Foster was granted unconditional bail.
