HOUSEHOLDS in Bromley Cross were left in the dark for a few hours early today after underground electricity cables developed a fault at 1.50am.
All customers were re-connected by 5.12am using alternative supplies. Work was continuing throughout the day to repair the faulty cables.
A spokesman for United Utilities said: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused. We switched their supply to other cables as soon as we could, with the last batch of customers being re-connected at 5.12am. Engineers will be out there today fixing the problem."
