CUP finals have been linked with 'curse of the dressing room' stories for two or three years now - particularly since Wembley was ditched in 2000.
But the Reebok Stadium has become the latest stadium to be labelled with the jinx ahead of next month's Goldline Trophy final.
No side has ever won the showpiece event from the luxury of the Wanderers' changing room - which will come as little comfort to Prestwich Heys, who hope to stop the Atherton Colls' Goldline juggernaut crushing all in its' path to lift the cup for the second successive season.
The Manchester League outfit - beaten by Atherton Colls in a fraught semi-final last season - won the spin of the coin to determine who will use the home facilities on April 9 (7:45pm), but they will be focused on events on the pitch with a few scores to settle.
Ex-Heys manager Joe Murty takes charge of Colls against the side with whom he shared heartbreak in the Crilly Road semi twelve months ago. And if he has to pile the misery on Heys - whose challenge for the Manchester League is faltering - then it will have to be done on the night.
The Golden Goal rule which allowed Prestwich to make the final at the expense of inaugural champions Atherton LR will apply - with penalties deciding matters if needed.
Tickets for the event are priced at £2, and are available from the Goldline offices as well as the participating clubs. A turnstile will be open on the night, when organisers will be hoping to smash last year's attendance of 1,900.
