LANCASHIRE'S Crimestoppers scheme has had its most successful year since it was formed in 1991.
The county scheme -- which allows people to report Crime to the police anonymously -- received 10,000 calls last year, resulting in the arrest and charge of over 200 offenders.
, a rise of almost three per month on 2001.
But of those people eligible for rewards, only six callers came forward to claim a total of £775.
The phone line enables people to report crime anonymously.
