BOLTON Handball Club juniors were just beaten in their first ever game.
Bolton went down 14-12 to Rawtenstall at a tournament at Ordsall recreation centre, with goalkeeper Danny Howarth pulling off some spectacular saves.
Joint top goal scorers John Martin and Marcus Camewn also both played outstanding games.
A club spokesman said: "For the first game they have ever played it is very promising for the team."
Bolton's junior side is based at Withins School with the aid of East Bolton Regeneration, the Pathway Project.
The first Junior Tournament was played Saturday, March 22, at Ordsall recreation centre.
