CHILDREN at a Bolton primary school have given their stamp of approval to the latest postal designs from Royal Mail.
Youngsters from Beaumont Primary School, Wendover Drive, Ladybridge, were given a special preview of new stamps featuring comic characters in the shape of fruit and vegetables.
They come in packs with body-part stickers so that children can create their own characters. Post bosses hope that the new stamps will give the children plenty of fun -- as well as the healthy eating message.
With the help of their teacher Charlotte Holt, the Ladybridge children created their own fruit and veg folk using a selection of eyes, mouths, lips, moustaches, hair, shoes, glasses and ties.
The packs of the 10 first class stamps and stickers are on sale now at post offices and Sainsbury's stores.
