The Edge of Darkness, Halliwell Theatre Company, Church Hall, Harvey Street. Runs until Saturday
IF you want to see a play which has more twists and turns in the plot than a rollercoaster then you must not miss Halliwell Theatre Company's play, the Edge of Darkness.
The action unfolds around Max and Laura Cranwell as they bring their daughter Emma - who has been mysteriously missing for three years - back to their isolated coastal home, which stands close to cliff tops.
Max and Laura have found Emma languishing in a Dublin hospital but she has no memory about who she is, why she went missing or what happened to her.
Emma adjusts to her return home under the watchful eyes of servants Hardy and Penny.
But there are many unanswered questions and snatched conversations between the characters that lead you to suspect nothing is quite as it seems.
The play, was gripping from the moment the curtain went up until the dramatic conclusion and the cast did a great job of keeping up the suspense under the veneer of tranquility.
The Edge of Darkness keeps you guessing until the last scene and will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat.
