A JUNIOR football club are appealing for help to raise cash to buy a home.
Ringley Park Rangers field seven teams in North Bury's Junior Football League, from under-sevens to under-13s, but have no pitch to call their own.
But officials at the Kearsley-based club are now hoping all that will change.
They are in talks with Bolton Council to lease and develop playing fields near St Saviour Ringley Primary School in Fold Road.
And the club are appealing for help to buy their new home.
Officials are also hoping to apply for National Lottery funding -- but say the project could cost as much as £100,000. Youngsters currently play their home games in Kearsley on pitches at Spindle Point Primary School in Moss Lane, George Tomlinson High School, in Springfield Road, and on pitches owned by Stoneclough Football Club.
Alan Marshall, Ringley Park Rangers under-10s manager, said: "We are playing our games all over the place and sometimes it can be a problem."
"We have had talks with the council about the possibility of obtaining a lease for the land then developing it.
"The pitches need maintaining and draining, and we would also like to build changing rooms and a small clubhouse -- somewhere for the children to call their home.
"This could cost anything between £60,000 to £100,000, although we are still in early days and have not discussed estimates.
"It is not something that is going to happen in 12 months -- and we would be in it for the long haul. But we have got solid management and a lot of children. "
A sportsmen's evening at the Veterans Club, Brackley Street, Farnworth raised more than £5,000 for the cause last Friday. Mr Marshall thanked all the sponsors.
