A MANCUNIAN has reportedly surrendered to the Desert Rats after travelling to Iraq to fight for Saddam.
The man is said to have handed himself over to Irish Guards, saying he had had enough and he wanted to go home.
Corporal Jonathan Duffy, aged 21, who quizzed him, said: "He had a Manchester accent so he stood out immediately."
It is claimed the man taunted soldiers, saying he would soon be back home claiming benefits. The MoD in London can neither confirm nor deny the report.
