DOBBIES A continued the march to the Division One title of the BSF Over 35s Football League with a 3-0 victory over Turton.
The result puts them eight points clear at the top, but the second and third teams do have games in hand.
Pennington FC moved second with a 7-1 thumping of Dobbies B and Breightmet United closed up in fourth spot after beating Willows 5-3 away from home.
At the bottom, Colliers Rest moved out of the drop zone with a 3-1 win away at Cross Keys.
The biggest shock of the day came in Division Two where lowly Daten AFC beat leaders Hare Athletic 3-2 and that result moved Daten up two places.
Hayward Old Boys closed the gap at the top to five points after beating the
Newmarket 3-0 away from home and they still have a game in hand on Hare Athletic.
Horwich Town moved into third spot with a solid 3-0 home win over Walkden Wrecks while Bay Mare Strollers and Seven Stars drew 3-3.
The Third Division remains too tight to call with just two points separating the top five clubs and Ainsworth Fossils cling on to top spot despite losing 2-1 at home to Bottom Bulls Head.
Old Smithillians stay second after beating Westhoughton Wingates 3-2 in a close game and Walkden AFC remain third after beating DF Lostock 3-2 away. Rumworth & Hulton are a close fourth after beating Urmston MC 2-1 away from home and Dobbies C beat the Founders Arms 2-1 in another tight game.
Any one of the top five teams could take the championship and it looks like it will go right down to the wire in Division Three.
