STONECLOUGH 1 CROSSHILLS 1: STONECLOUGH completely dominated their Manchester League game but missed chances cost them victory as they drew 1-1 with Crosshills.
They should have scored when Anthony Fisher was pushed in the box, but David Morris's weak kick was easily saved before Janusz Heenan managed to put the ball over the bar from two feet.
The home side fell for a sucker punch after 30 minutes when Crosshills scored with only their second foray upfield, a corner from the right that was powerfully headed in.
After the break it was much the same with Stoneclough missing another couple of chances, Paul Cope guilty of a miss from three yards out. Crosshills then came into the game and forced a couple of great saves from the veteran Dawson. Eight minutes from time Anthony Fisher finally hit the net with a fierce shot from just inside the box.
