THE seventh running of the Chetham Close 10k trail race will be held on Wednesday June 4.

Last year it was run as memorial to Paul Martin raising funds for Christies in Manchester.

With the closure of the Entwistle Reservoir this year the race will incorporate the Memorial race for Chas Dickinson and will take on an unusual format

with a race for pairs. Running with a partner the race will be decided on combined times over the demanding course. The race is open to any combination of runners over 16 with prizes for first three teams in male, female and mixed plus youngest and oldest combined aged teams.

All proceeds will go to Christies and the British Heart Foundation. Over the past two years they have raised more than £600 for these two charities. Race starts 7.30pm from Chetham Arms, Chapeltown. Registration from 6.15pm. Entry fee £6 per team.
