A 16-YEAR-OLD youth, believed to have been drunk, was rescued from the top of the roof at Breightmet Library last night.
A fire service spokesman said: "Because the young lad was a bit worse for wear we couldn't use ladders to bring him down, we had to wait until the hydraulic platform arrived. When we got him down he was starting to sober up."
He added that the police were called and spoke to the teenager.
