BOLTON comic Peter Kay made a triumphant "welcome home" at Bolton's Albert Halls on Monday night.
And the comedian was quick to point out that this week was Peter Kay Week in the Bolton Evening News.
As the comic appeared in the first of a five night series of sell-out shows, he joked about the extensive coverage given to him by his home town paper.
"It's always Peter Kay Week in the Bolton Evening News!" he said.
Kay's homecoming was marked by rapturous applause - and at the end of the show he received a standing ovation.
Each night during Peter Kay Week we will publish a Peter Kay themed question in the paper and one lucky winner will become the proud owner of a signed Phoenix Nights DVD (NOT the video) and a signed photograph of the man himself.
