PUPILS at Westhoughton High School may prove to be top business people in the future.
Eleven pupils from the school scooped the Innovation and Overall Best Company award at the Bolton Young Enterprise final at the Festival Hall on Tuesday night.
The pupils set up their company 'Vision' and designed a 'back buddy' to help take the strain off people's backs when carrying shopping bags by putting the pressure on the shoulders.
Teacher Simon Gill said: "I'm delighted we managed to be successful and hope they follow in the footsteps of our team last year, who managed to reach the national finals." Industry advisor to the group, Robert Moores, said: "They were absolutely brilliant and very professional. They have worked very hard during the year."
The group will now represent Bolton in the West Pennine finals and will carry out trading in the meantime.
