A £39,000 meeting place has opened for Leigh teenagers.
The 'teenmeet' on land just off Briar Grove, Westleigh, was designed by local youths and features an arch swing on a rubber safety surface, two shelters, basketball post, litter bin, lighting and a mini half-pipe skate ramp.
Opened by Leigh MP Andy Burnham and Deputy Mayor councillor Wilf Brogan, the site has been built in response to residents' complaints about local youths gathering on street corners because they had nowhere else to go.
