SPREAD Eagle secured victory over A & N Paper in the Margaret Taylor Shield thanks to a hat-trick by Gallagher.
The hitman opened the scoring, but Paper were soon 3-1 up thanks to a Crossman double and a single goal from Walton.
Gallagher grabbed one back before Roberts equalised with a 25-yard free kick.
Gallagher then completed his treble to put Spread ahead before further goals from Roberts, Richardson and Craig sealed the 7-3 victory.
Commercial moved into the next round after a 4-3 away Victory against Cattlemarket.
Hulton Lane proved to be too strong for Sharples and ran out 7-0 winners on the day, which included a brace from Kendell.
Little Hulton Horseshoe had a 3-0 victory over King William with goals from Hill, Laidlaw and McClusky.
Royal Hotel moved into the next round 3-2 on aggregate against Faux Forest after a 1-1 draw.
Lion and and Great Lever had to settle for a point each after a goalless draw.
In Division One Horwich SM had an excellent 2-1 home victory against North Bolton. Naylor and Roberts were on the scoresheet for Horwich.
Masons Arms moved into fourth place in Division One after a 5-2 home victory against Railway.
