SARA Cox joined in with the accolades for the Radio 1 Bolton show.
"It's been brilliant being back in my home town," she said.
On Saturday she sat among her fans for a question and answer session and arrived punctually at 1pm even though she had had a heavy night at Atlantis in Astley Bridge.
At one point her mum, Jackie, who used to run the Pineapple pub in Astley Bridge, wandered over with a couple of pints.
"You don't work in a pub any more, mum," she laughed. "Let it go."
She spoke about how her life had changed since becoming a DJ and how she had set herself limits.
"I've never had a photographer in my home," she said. "I think if you do things like that and start selling pictures of your wedding or child's Christening to a magazine then you become fair game for anything."
