CONCERNS about the possible dangers of poorly lit passageways have hit plans to build 59 houses at the old Victoria Mill site in Westhoughton.
Council planners are worried that three proposed entrances running underneath houses could become strewn with litter and hazardous to pedestrians if neglected.
Cllr David Wilkinson said: "I am concerned about these tunnels and think we should go back to the developer to get a better and safer scheme."
