BOLTON Little Theatre is ready to present another Harold Pinter play following its success with The Homecoming.
This time the play is Betrayal, billed as a more 'middle class' play without the menace that Pinter's earlier work relied on. The plot keeps us guessing as to whether this is the case.
Two bright young men form a close friendship at university. After graduation they pursue complementary careers -- one as a literary agent and the other as a publisher.
They work and play together and both marry and have children. Then one starts an affair with the other's wife.
Audrey and Jim Lias direct Helen Price Aindow, Barry Hall, Stuart Shaw and Stuart O'Hara.
The play runs for 90 minutes without an interval and will run from today until April 12. Tickets are available from the Albert Halls Booking Office (9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday) on 01204 334400 and the theatre box office (6.15pm to 8pm throughout the run) on 01204 524469.
