A NEW charity is urging the Government to help work towards the conservation of peat bogs in the North-west.
Working for Wildlife, which is being launched tomorrow, says the bogs help reverse the effects of global warming by acting as a carbon dioxide sink.
The group is calling on the Government to switch its countryside policy to one of conservation instead of degradation.
