TWO brothers were due to appear in court today accused of trying to smuggle 4.5kg of cocaine through Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
Lee James Garside, aged 24, and his brother Wayne, aged 22, of Jubilee Road, Middleton, are accused of trying to import a Class A drug.
They were remanded in custody on Saturday and were expected to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court.
Customs officers seized cocaine with a street value of £300,000 in a suitcase on a flight from Amsterdam on Friday.
