RONNIE Drew's is the most recognisable voice in Ireland - it was also the original, and lead voice, of the most famous Irish folk band in history, The Dubliners.
Having departed from the band at the end of 1995 in order to pursue solo projects, the last four years have seen Ronnie involved in a whole range of new challenges that have taken him from his Dublin hometown all over the world.
This culminated in a highly acclaimed four week run of his show, "Ronnie I Hardly Knew Ya," at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August of 1999.
This choreographed show was premiered at Dublin's Andrew's Lane Theatre in 1997 and attracted capacity audiences during its six week run.
Ronnie Drew is appearing at The Met Theatre, Bury, on Saturday, May 10, starting at 7.30pm
