THE award-winning Unicorn's production of Charles Dickens' tale Great Expectations will be at the Library Theatre, Manchester, from April 15 to 19.
The Manchester dates conclude a hugely successful tour for the Great Expectations team.
A sell-out success at its London premiere last year, the play uses the best of Dickens' language combined with live music to recreate a colourful Victorian world for a young audience.
Viewed through the eyes of Pip and Estella on their journey from childhood to adulthood, a cast of extraordinary characters is brought to life.
There's the eccentric Miss Havisham, the intimidating Mr Jaggers, Magwitch, the convict and kind-hearted Joe.
The production is recommended for young people aged between nine and 14, and their families.
Unicorn was first established in 1947 by Caryl Jenner who dreamed of one day opening a purpose-built theatre for children. This dream will be realised next year when Unicorn's new theatre will open on London's South Bank.
Tickets from 0161 236 7110.
