THE next swimming instructors course is taking place at Deane Community Leisure Centre on Tuesday, April 22 to Friday, April 25.
To get as many people swimming as possible is high on the council's Education and Culture Department's agenda.
Funding has been allocated through the Pathways programme for anyone over 16 who would like to take part on the next assistant teachers course.
If you live in Burnden, Central, Derby, Farnworth, Halliwell, Harper Green, Tonge, Breightmet, Daubhill and Kearsley and would like to know more and find out if you are eligible contact Kim Harrison on 334461.
While the course is taking place we are offering youngsters from age four upwards ranging from non-swimmer to club swimmer the chance to attend lessons at Deane Community Leisure Centre from Tuesday, April 22 to Friday, April 25 for £4 for four one hour lessons.
The hour long lessons start at 9am, 10am and 11am. Places are limited and to reserve your place or find out further information contact Deane Community Leisure Centre on 334432.
