BOOKINGS on new low-cost flights from Blackpool Airport have exceeded all expectations, airline bosses have said.
Irish airline Ryanair is beginning daily services to Dublin and to London Stanstead from the resort next month.
Chief executive Michael O'Leary paid a brief visit to Blackpool to promote the new flights.
He said bookings for both services had been much better than expected. The new routes were announced at the beginning of March.
