FANS of Jay-Jay Okocha would put their shirts on the footballer helping the Wanderers to stay in the Premiership.
And most of them already have -- by snapping up Jay-Jay Okocha T-shirts, the latest hot item to wing its way out of the Super Whites club shop.
The initial stock of 1,000 short-sleeved tops were snapped up within just 10 days. The club has now placed an order for hundreds more to be delivered as soon as possible as Jay-Jay fever sweeps the Reebok Stadium.
Costing £9.99, the T-shirts carry a picture of the Nigerian World Cup star along with the slogan "Jay-Jay -- so good they named him twice".
A Wanderers spokesman said: "We can't believe how quickly they have sold. He's certainly a very popular player."
Okocha is proving to be one of Bolton's key players, having scored in the successive victories over Sunderland and Spurs.
And on Saturday he overcame the disappointment of missing an early penalty to star in the Whites' 2-0 victory over Manchester City.
Those three successive wins have raised hopes of another successful survival mission -- especially now there is daylight between Big Sam's survival squad and the bottom three Premiership clubs. Such fevered support is also likely to persuade Jay-Jay to stay at the Reebok.
The player, who has had spells in Germany, Turkey and France, has told of his desire to remain in England -- but whether that will be with Bolton depends on whether the club stays in the top flight.
Relegation into the Nationwide League would almost certainly see Jay-Jay say goodbye to Bolton.
The Okocha T-shirt sales have taken off as fans flock to back the Bolton Evening News' "Keep the Whites Up" campaign.
We are running the campaign to rally support for Wanderers as they battle to avoid relegation from the Premiership.
So far, fans across Bolton and even further afield -- including many well known showbiz faces -- have given their support to the cause.
Many have been seen on the streets wearing their replica kits and carrying copies of our free poster declaring: "We're Backing the Super Whites."
The next big thing at the Reebok is likely to be lvan Campo wigs. The curly-haired Wanderers player is one of the most popular with the fans.
A club spokesman said: "We're trying to source a good supply of wigs from abroad and hope to have them on sale."
