MASONS and White Horse needed extra-time and penalties to decide who progressed into the quarter-finals of the Pioneer League's Josey A White Trophy.
White Horse went in front after 35 minutes through Hayes but Masons equalised with a 70th minute penalty from Aspinall and the game remained goalless throughout extra-time.
With the game level at 3-3 after five penalties each, Masons missed the next penalty and Alex Conner sealed a 4-3 victory.
Hulton Lane moved into the quarter-finals after a 5-3 home victory against AN Paper. On target for Hulton Lane were Rice, two, and Kendle.
Moss Lion went through after a 5-1 victory over Horwich St Mary's. Harrison, Walsh and Sheen were all on target for Lion and Mayo replied for Horwich.
Little Hulton Horseshoe proved to be too strong for ABC, winning 5-1. Mears and Laider scored a double each and Murray was on target for Horseshoe.
