A YOUNG girl was showered with glass when a brick was thrown at the window of her school bus.
The girl, a pupil at Little Lever High School, was on the back seat of First Manchester's 524 bus on her way home on Tuesday when a brick was hurled at the window in Hall Lane, near the Moses Gate Country Park, on the outskirts of Farnworth
The window shattered but the brick did not break through.
The girl, believed to be aged about 13, was not injured.
Several bricks are believed to have been thrown at the bus by youths hiding in bushes off Hall Lane shortly before 4pm last night. The single decker bus was packed with schoolchildren, mainly from Little Lever High School, on their way home.
Police officers were called to the area but no arrests were made.
