BOLTON Mets ARLFC suffered another defeat at Crossfields of Warrington.
Crossfields opened the scoring and looked more organised in the first half but the Mets replied with try from second rower Dave Cain, giving a half-time score of 14-6 to Crossfields.
After ten minutes of the second half, the floodgates opened and all the hard work by the Mets' defence, particularly Gaz Cartwright, Mark Dorning and Ralph Sherrington, was to no avail.
The Mets were no match for the much fitter Crossfields team, who started to run tries in at will on their way to a 56-6 final score.
Only their poor kicking skills stopped it becoming Mets' worst defeat of the season.
Dejected player-coach Chris Brown said: "When you are not getting the numbers at training, this is what happens against a much quicker well-drilled outfit."
