A TEENAGER is pleading for the return of vital files containing the bulk of her GCSE coursework after they were stolen from a playing field in Horwich.
Emma Thornton, aged 14, was playing hockey on the pitch at Horwich Leisure Centre when her bag, which she left at the side of the field, was stolen.
It contained coursework for food technology and drama, two subjects for which there is ongoing assessment.
The Rivington and Blackrod pupil is upset, according to her father, Dave, aged 41, because she fears she may fail the two courses if the files are not returned.
He said: "We can replace everything else in the bag except for the files. We desperately want them back."
The bag, stolen at 4pm on Monday, is blue and branded Cabbini. It also contained her entire school uniform since she had changed into sports clothes. Emma's purse containing £5, school planner, calculator and house keys were also in the bag. Mr Thornton has since changed the locks at his home on Cedar Avenue, Horwich.
