HITACHI Automotive Products at Horwich has taken advantage of the free energy service run by Bolton and Bury Chamber of Commerce.
The company has the opportunity to save more than £14,000 per year on its gas and electricity bills.
An on-site audit highlighted the fact that Hitachi had excessive electricity capacity, which is now being realigned to save the company £7,000 per year.
Other efficiencies, such as fitting twin lamps in production areas and measures to improve control of the air conditioning system will save at least another £7,000 each year.
Chamber Energy's service providers Utility Auditing Ltd have also saved Hitachi money by renegotiating a better deal on its gas supply.
