MEDIA businesses in Bolton are being encouraged to be "wired for success".
The first of two "Wired City" early evening events takes place at the Patagonia Cafe in Bradshawgate tonight and another is planned for April 24.
They are a collaboration between Bolton Council's Creative Industries Development Team and Digital Media Watch.
Media professionals are being offered the opportunity to meet other creative businesses and share issues relating to the sector.
There is also the chance to explore opportunities for collaboration.
Guests from some of the region's up and coming new media businesses include Simon Wharton from Virtuaffinity, Brett Hutchins from Head First Communications, Paul Basson from Freerange Design and Immy Deshmukh from Digital Media Watch.
The Wired City events are free but booking is essential. Contact Rebecca Waring on 01204 336180 or e-mail reb ecca.waring@bolton .gov.uk.
