LANCASHIRE Road Club time trialists took advantage of a ten-mile event held on the same course to be used for next Saturday's LRC Open Time Trial.
Using the event as a practice run for next week's event, that also includes the clubs own ten-mile championship, was Paul Shalliker, whose time of 20:59 was good enough for third place overall -- the fastest time by an LRC rider this season.
There was a gap of over two minutes to the next LRC man, Frank Kerry, 23:19, who narrowly beat Glen Kenyon, 23:26.
Sean Warren, 23:43, and Frank Mackin, 25:47, were the club's other riders.
All the above will be riding again next week and will no doubt be joined by many more LRC riders in what is usually the most hotly contested club championship events.
