A PLACE in the play-offs is still in Chorley's sights as North Ferriby United visit Victory Park on Saturday.
Unfortunately for the Magpies all the other leading teams, with the exception of Alfreton, also won at the weekend.
But, in the Magpies' favour, is the best goal difference of the four teams who are fighting for the final play-off spot, and also that Matlock and Belper have to face each other twice, while Witton have games against Alfreton and Spennymoor to come.
The Magpies' only fixture against another team in the promotion fight is on Saturday, when they take on a side they beat 3-1 away from home on February 25.
After North Ferriby, the other three matches are at home to lowly Eastwood Town on Easter Saturday, away to Bamber Bridge on Easter Monday (7.45pm) and at Stocksbridge on April 26.
If they finish fifth, they will visit the team third from the foot of the Premier Division for a place in the play-off final - away again, to the First Division side finishing third or fourth. Fourth place would mean an away clash with the third-placed team in the semi-finals.
Chorley have signed former Macclesfield and Kidsgrove midfielder Steve Tobin until the end of the season.
