credit card fraud in Manchester topped the £6m mark in 2002, according to figures released by The Association of Payment Clearing Services (APCS).
The city comes in behind London and Birmingham in the UK league for fraud. The figures have come in as APCS is planning to introduce new-style credit cards where customers will have to key in a PIN rather than sign a receipt.
