THE battle to beat the drop enters its latest nail-biting phase on Saturday with six clubs fighting to avoid the third relegation place.
While Wanderers are at Chelsea, West Ham and Aston Villa meet in a key battle at Upton Park while Fulham could have problems at Liverpool.
Boosted by three successive wins, Wanderers are not only looking over their shoulders at Birmingham and the Hammers but also have Fulham, Leeds and Villa in their sights.
Sam Allardyce is comforted by a four-point advantage: "It is a major boost that we can't slip into the bottom three tomorrow," he said. "Whatever happens we will stay above West Ham."
