RAUL to leave Real for the Reebok? It's a mouthwatering idea and the prospect was raised at this week's Wanderers' press conference.
Unfortunately Sam Allardyce was only joking. He was talking about the chances of Ivan Campo staying at Bolton after his loan spell from the Bernabeu expires at the end of this season.
"Ivan is in need of a friend at the club. He gets on well with the Franch players but he needed someone from his own country.
"Even though Salva Ballesta has not played as much as we would have liked he has been a friend to Campo."
Asked if he would keep Salva just to keep Campo happy, he added with a smile: "No, we'd go for Raul."
What about Campo's future? "He doesn't like the cold weather but I think he likes the club," added Sam.
"If a Manchester United or a Liverpool came in for him he would sign for them but if a club the same size as Bolton wanted him I think he would stay with us."
