A BOLTON man is putting on his boots to raise money for charity.
Adam Griffiths, aged 35, is to spend 11 days walking along the Great Wall Of China in May to raise much needed funds for The Anthony Nolan Leukaemia Trust.
Mr Griffiths, who is manager of the Red Lion pub in Salford Road, Over Hulton, is planning a number of other fund-raisers at his pub as well. These include a sponsored bunjee jump on Easter Monday and a cabaret evening on May 15.
The charity, which is keen to emphasise the fund-raising aspect of the event, is hoping to raise £100,000 towards its vital work.
Every £70 raised will add a new blood stem cell donor to the national register. Every donor is a potential life-saver.
