A DISABLED woman who died in a fire at her house will be buried next week.
Kathleen Bates, aged 59, died after a fire started downstairs at her house in Makinson Avenue, Horwich, in the early hours of Sunday April 6.
Ms Bates, a divorcee, had lived in the semi-detached house on for 19 years and was the only person in the home when the fire began.
A neighbour raised the alarm after hearing Ms Bates' smoke detector go off.
Her funeral will be held at St Mary's Church, Horwich, on Tuesday at 2pm before an interment at Ridgmont Cemetery at 2.30pm.
Floral tributes or donations to Cancer Research can be sent to Livesey Funeral Service, Church Street, Horwich.
