SOME weeks ago I wrote to BWFC for two tickets for the game against Manchester City.
Receiving no reply and hearing on the radio that the game was a sell-out, we assumed that our application was unsuccessful.
On Friday morning, April 4, I received a telephone call from Lee Clark at Royal Mail Delivery Office, Middlebrook, saying they had a letter addressed to Mr R Condon of 11 Old Vicarage. In fact, the first line of my address is 111 Old Vicarage.
I dashed to the Royal Mail, proved my identity, opened the letter, and was thrilled to find the match tickets.
This wonderful case of detection was due in the first instance to Steve Delvard, who I congratulate most heartily, Alan Ireland and Lee Clark.
Thank you all for your dedication and commitment to duty in delivering the mail correctly, even when it is wrongly addressed.
Rod Condon
Old Vicarage
